WHO ARE WE?

LabCut was set up by three PhD students at the University of Warwick. We are all passionate about science and science communication.

CANSU

Cansu is a cinephile who takes microscopic images of human cells for a living. Her filmmaking experience was cut short after starting to study science, but you can find her student films in the YouTube blackhole, possibly. LabCut was her dream for quite some time. Still can’t believe they’re doing this! ^.^

PATRICK

Patrick was once a chemist but now is a biologist (or something in between). He's not really sure any more. In any case he is interested in studying the biosynthesis of complex biological molecules and telling everyone who will listen about them.

CHARLOTTE

Charlotte is a biochemist, who now works on natural and synthetic microbial communities. She passionately believes in the importance of interdisciplinary work, having also studied the societal, ethical and philosophical implications of her research. She has a love for art-science collaborations, and looks forward to enabling the creation of abiding science films that will bring audiences to the lab benches, and researchers beyond it.
